What is a Parkinsons?

Parkinsons is a disease of your brain. It happens when your brain slows down the production of a chemical called Dopamine. Dopamine helps your body move and keeps you in a good mood.

There is currently no cure for Parkinsons. Our doctors are dedicated to providing treatments that will help you control the symptoms.



Warning Signs for Parkinsons

There are 4 main warning signs that you should look for. They are:

  • Shaking or tremors in your hands, legs and face.
  • Trouble walking or moving
  • Stiffness in your arms, legs or body
  • Being off balance and possibly even falling

Treatments:

There is no one treatment that applies to every person. We create an individualized treatment plan help to help maintain your abilities.

The treatment may include:
  • Medicine
  • Surgery
  • Exercise
  • Physical Therapy
  • Speech Therapy
